Diploma in International Employee Benefits examinations
The aim of the examinations is to provide Diploma holders with the professional
knowledge and understanding to resolve, in a practical way, international
employee benefit scenarios.
The qualification aims to equip holders with the
knowledge to ask the right questions and to use the answers to develop
international employee benefit strategy.
Each part is examined by a three hour paper. To be awarded
the Diploma candidates must pass Diploma Modules One and Two or Advanced Diploma
Modules 303 are exactly the same, as are Diploma Module Two and Advanced Diploma
Module 305.
Examination entry form
The examination entry form for 2008 can be downloaded from the
Forms page. The
entry fee and last date for receipt of examination entries are found on the
Diploma Dates and Fees pages.
Acknowledgements
All examination entry forms will be acknowledged. If you do not receive your
acknowledgement please contact the Institute immediately. Candidates are advised
to check their acknowledgements carefully.
Examination admission permits An admission permit and instructions to candidates are sent two weeks before the
examinations take place. If you have not received these documents you should
contact the Institute immediately because you will not be admitted to the
examination centre without them.

Examination centres
The examinations will be available in the following locations in the UK and
Ireland. If possible please give second choice examination centre as some
centres may not be able to accommodate all the candidates who apply.

It is also possible to take the examination overseas. The most frequently used
overseas centres include: Amsterdam, Auckland, Brussels, Chicago, Cologne,
Dubai, Dublin, Hong Kong, Munich, Madrid, New York, Paris and Sydney.
Special fees and earlier closing dates may apply to overseas centres. For

At present there is a £20 supplement for overseas centres.
Publication of results
Results notifications are despatched to candidates as soon as they are available
which should be mid July for Module One and towards the end of December for
Module
Two.
The PMI reserves the right to publish examination results
whether successes or failures.
PMI will not communicate results to a candidate's employer.
The decision of the Examiners is in every case final and no
request for reconsideration of the results can be granted.
A prize is awarded for the best script submitted in each
Module.
Examination grades
There is only one grade of pass (Grade P on the result notification). There are
two grades of fail:

Fail within 5 marks of that required for a pass |
| Grade T |
Fail more than 5 marks below that required for a pass |
Examiners' reports
Examiners Reports will be produced and made available on the
website. Copies of
past reports and past question papers are available to download from the
Past
Papers page.
Examination Regulations
It is a condition of acceptance of an examination entry that candidates
carefully read the examination regulations and agree to abide by them. The
examination regulations are attached to the examination entry form and further
instructions to candidates pertaining to the conduct of the examination are sent
with the admission permit. Copies for the current session can also be found
below.

Withdrawal from examinations
Candidates who wish to withdraw from an examination must do so in writing.
Depending on the circumstances and timing of the withdrawal candidates may be
entitled to a partial refund of the examination entry fee.

Liability
In all circumstances, the PMI’s liability is limited to a
complete refund of the entry fee paid for the exam concerned.
