Diploma in International Employee Benefits study

This page give details of the forms of study available to you. You are advised to begin studying six months before the examinations.

Study manual

PMI publishes a study manual for each examination Module. The order form can be found on the Forms page. People who purchased a study manual in one year may update it, at a lower price, the following year. Study manuals may also be purchased by people who do not intend to sit the examinations.

Study materials are delivered on line for printing.

Distance learning course

The Institute offers a distance learning course for each Module. For Module One the distance learning course usually begins in September and finishes in March and for Module Two the distance learning course usually begins in March and finishes in September.

The full distance learning course comprises a study manual, assignment booklet, mock examination and tutorial facilities.  In order to gain maximum benefit from the  course a planned method of study should be followed with completed assignments being submitted regularly. Candidates are strongly recommended to use the distance learning courses, receiving regular feedback from tutors is very valuable. The courses also provide a good way back into disciplined study and examination-sitting for those who may have been away from it for some years.

The courses are purely an aid to learning, marks achieved in them do not count towards the final examination assessment.

Mock examinations

Candidates who have previously undertaken a distance learning course but failed the examination may purchase the mock examination. These will be available in February 2008 for Module One and August 2008 for Module Two.

Revision sessions

A half day revision course will be held in London for Module One in March 2008 and for Module Two in September 2008. Contact PMI House for further details.

Communication booklet

Effective communication is an essential part of Diploma studies. Students should download a copy of this booklet, which gives some advice on communication skills. It was produced for those sitting the Institute's Advanced Diploma examinations but is equally valid for this sitting the Diploma.
