Advanced Diploma in Retirement Provision

Fees

This page contains details of the various fees applicable to those studying for the Advanced Diploma examinations.

Please make all remittances payable to The Pensions Management Institute. All remittances from overseas and the Republic of Ireland should be in pounds sterling. Payments can also be made by BACS or credit card and full details can be found on the appropriate forms.


Subscriptions and fees

The following fees apply for the 2007/2008 year:
(fees for 2008/2009 are shown in red)

Membership subscription

Subscriptions are payable in advance on 1 September each year. The current rate for Students is £80 (£85)

Registration fee

If you are already a Member of the Institute you do not pay a registration fee. Registration fees are payable only when you register or reregister as a Student. The fee is £115 (£130)

Exemption/Accreditation of Prior Learning

The fees payable are as follows:

£90 (£95) for one Module (100 credits)
£165 (£175) for two Modules (200 credits)
£198 (£210) for more than two Modules (more than 200 credits)


Examination entry fees

The examination entry fee is £105 (£110) for Module 101 examinations and £120 (£130) for 200 and 300 level Module examinations in 2008.

There is a £20 supplementary fee for overseas examination entries.


Election fees

In addition to paying an annual subscription when you are first elected as an Ordinary Member a fee of £120 (£130) is payable and on first election as an Associate a fee of £180 is payable.


Study material fees

HM Revenue and Customs have advised PMI that the supply of printed matter online is regarded as an electronically supplied service and as such has to be charged as standard (currently 17.5%) rate not zero rated or exempt. Therefore, with effect from 1 January 2007, the PMI has been required to add VAT @ 17.5%.  This does not apply to orders submitted from outside the UK by non UK residents.

The following fees apply in the UK for 2008 examinations:

Study manual £95 per module + £16.63 VAT = £111.63
Distance learning course (including reduced price study manual) = £160
Distance learning course (including study manual) = £210
Study manual for those who purchased the 2006/2007 version of the same manual (previously called updating pages) £45 per module + £7.88 VAT = £52.88
Transitional arrangements assignment £45 per module

Mock Examinations £25 per module
Revision Courses £80 per module
Binders £8 each

The following fees apply for 2009 examinations:

Study material package £175 per module
Updated study material package £90 per module*
Revision Course £85 per module
RPC online learning £130 + VAT
Updated RPC online learning £65 + VAT**

*The updated study material package is only available to those who purchased a study material package for the previous year

**The updated RPC online learning is only available to those who purchased RPC online learning for the previous year.

Overseas students

Supplementary fees are payable for the provision of examination facilities overseas. Details are sent to all overseas Students on the relevant order forms.
