PMI's risk governance workshop findings

At the recent Manchester Professional Pensions show, the PMI ran a Risk Governance workshop for trustees which focussed on Investment risk, Legal risk and Admin risk from both perspectives – the sponsoring employer and the trustee board.

 

Following the presentations, a very lively case study ensued which considered how a hypothetical company Chaos Plc was exposed in each of these three areas and the immediate steps that both the employer and the trustee board needed to take.

Pensions Minister provides reform at PMI Spring Conference

PMI Chief Executive wins top pensions award

Vince Linnane, Chief Executive of the Pensions Management Institute (PMI) won Pensions Management magazine's Outstanding Contribution to the Pensions Industry Award for 2007 at a lunch on 19 October at City venue, the Brewery. The selection of Mr Linnane, who has been Chief Executive of the PMI since July 2006, following a 20 year career at the Institute, was unanimous with the judges.
