Annual Conference
The 2008 Annual Half Day Conference will be held at the Art Gallery in
Manchester on the morning of Thursday, 13 November 2008.
The focus of this year’s conference is the future of pensions, covering
topics such as governance expectations of trustees and how schemes can make use
of on-line services.
Our conference provides an opportunity to consider topical issues and
consider some interesting views on the future. It is relevant to all pension
industry professionals.

Events for 2008
Many thanks to October’s speaker, Gordon Buist of HSBC
Actuaries and Consultants Limited, for his talk on good pension scheme
governance.The next meeting will take place on Thursday, 5 November 2008 at
the offices of Eversheds in Manchester. The speaker will be Simon Jagger of
Jagger & Associates. The topic will be ‘Investing in an age of turbulence’.
Also in November we have a PMI meeting which will take place on Thursday 13 November at the Art Gallery
in
Manchester.
The committee would like to encourage Fellows, Associates and Students to
attend PMI North West Group events.
Revision sessions for the April 2008 exams are currently being organised and all
