DIEB - syllabus
The syllabus is presented in a form which is intended to give the reader an indication of the depth and breadth of knowledge which is required. It is divided into sections with an initial statement indicating what is expected of candidates and some indented notes which give an indication of the way in which the initial statement should be interpreted. The initial statement uses key words in bold type to indicate the depth and/or breadth of knowledge which is required.
Module One provides a general understanding of international employee benefit issues and looks at Australia, Germany, Japan, the USA and the EU. It also introduces topics which are covered in greater depth in Module Two.
Module Two additionally covers Chile, France, the Netherlands, Spain and the UK together with more detailed coverage of accounting and actuarial matters, international benefit strategy, financing arrangements and international transfers.
