| PMI 'Real Estate Investment - What's on the Horizon' survey |
The PMI, in partnership with PRUPIM, produces an annual report based on the findings of a survey which explores: how UK pension funds and their consultants perceive commercial real estate as an investment asset; what issues pension funds are facing with regard to real estate investment; and what their next moves might be both in the UK and overseas.
The PMI and PRUPIM are pleased to announce the release of their 2009 report What's on the Horizon 2009 Real Estate Investment for UK Pension Funds.
This year's data draws on 2008’s survey results to investigate changes in trustee attitudes to real estate investment over the last twelve months both pre and post the banking crisis of Autumn 2008. The results also assess emerging trends in funds involved with property.

The IPF produces the UK Quarterly Property Investment Consensus Forecast. This is based on a quarterly survey of property investment market forecasts produced by fund managers, property and research consultancies and equity brokers.
The surveys offer an insight into the range of forecasts of future property performance gathered from approximately 30 companies, for one, two, three and five year time horizons. The data is collected across retail, industrial and office sectors and includes sub-sector analysis for City and West End offices, retail warehousing, high street shops and shopping centres. Analysis is given on the basis of mean and median figures and the range of forecasts received. The data is entirely anonymous. The surveys have become key indicators of the UK commercial property markets performance expectations.
