APT
examinations
The DC version of the APT examination is examined by a one hour 60 multiple choice question
examination (in 3 units of 20 questions).
The DC and DB APT examination is examined by a one and a half hour multiple choice
examination (in units of 20, 35 and 35 questions).
The nominal pass mark for all units is 70%.

Private examination facilities
These facilities are provided to make the examination as widely and
flexibly available as possible. Small groups of candidates may sit the
examination on one of the dates and times as above but at a location
specially organised for them by someone other than PMI.
The organiser will be responsible for submitting the form and correct
remittance (the entrance fee is £90/105 per candidate in 2008 (depending on the
versions), please note that there is a minimum fee per centre based on
10 candidates, ie £900/1050), setting up the examination centre and room
and contact with candidates, a PMI invigilator will conduct the
examination. The examination may also be made available to small groups
of candidates at any location in the UK on any working day between
9.00am and 5.00pm. Fees and responsibilities are as described in the
paragraph above.
Four weeks notice will be required.

Examination grades
There is only one grade of pass (Grade P on the result
notification).
Examination Regulations
It is a condition of acceptance of an examination entry that candidates
carefully read the examination regulations and agree to abide by them. The
examination regulations are attached to the examination entry form and further
instructions to candidates pertaining to the conduct of the examination are sent
with the admission permit. Copies for the current session can also be found
below.

Examination Regulations
Withdrawal from examinations
Candidates who wish to withdraw from an examination must do so in writing.
Depending on the circumstances and timing of the withdrawal candidates may be
entitled to a partial refund of the examination entry fee.

Liability
In all circumstances, the PMI’s liability is limited to a
complete refund of the entry fee paid for the exam concerned. |
