Marketing Executive

Reports to: Marketing Manager

Location: London, City

Hours: Full Time

Start date: As soon as possible, without compromising on quality

Purpose of role:

To support marketing activities within the commercial development team.

Critical success factors

The incumbent will be an marketing professional, with a track record in the development and execution of multi-disciplinary marketing and communications operational activities, that are aligned with the strategic objectives of the organisation.

The roleholder will be a team-player, with a flexible and ‘can-do’ attitude to make things happen. In addition, the roleholder will have strong organisational skills and initiative, with a proven ability to independently drive projects to completion, giving due attention to detail and deadlines.

Key Accountabilities:

  • To promote the brand and services to our target audiences
  • To support all marketing touchpoints such as website, email, surveys, events, print, video, CRM, webinars etc
  • To support all commercial activities such as the Expert Partner programme and events
  • To support and maintain a content campaign programme integrated across print and digital
  • To maintain and produce analytics and monitor all brand activity for client reporting and internal tracking purposes
  • To support the external affairs strategy and PR plan
  • To produce our membership and technical newsletters on time and on budget
  • To support literature development, maintain marketing materials, and provide writing support
  • To work with external agencies on time and on budget to support all PMI marketing activities

Planning schedule

  • support all content marketing strategies
  • maintain the marketing communications schedule and any external sponsorship activity plan
  • support and develop the PR and external affairs plan

Website

  • create and upload copy and images for the organisation's website
  • maintain and monitor website for inconsistent messages
  • design website banners and assist with web visuals

Email

  • write, schedule and dispatch email marketing campaigns to target audiences 
  • maintain all marketing inboxes

Social media

  • contribute to social media engagement and brand awareness campaigns by posting appropriate marketing messages
  • schedule all social media activity

Production

  • produce PMI member magazine and technical news, based on plan agreed with Marketing Manager
  • liaise with the editorial group to plan each edition

Analytics

  • provide accurate reports and analysis to clients and company management to demonstrate effective return on investment (ROI)
  • create and circulate press clippings and report on trends
  • conduct keyword research and web statistics reporting
  • use web analytics software to monitor the performance of client landing pages and make recommendations for improvement

CRM

  • manage the contact database and assist with lead generation activities as and when required

Admin

  • support and maintain all commercial relationships agreements 
  • track and log logo licensing agreements
  • support the marketing department with administrational tasks as and when required

Education & Qualifications:

  • educated to degree level, likely to be in Marketing or Communications and/or relevant qualification
  • likely to be a member of a relevant professional body
  • two years’ marketing experience

  • pay-per-click experience such as Google Adwords
  • social media analytics tools such as hootsuite/buffer etc • CIM/IDM Certificate in Professional Marketing

Skills:

  • working effectively with colleagues at all levels in an office environment 
  • working to meet the varied needs of internal or external customers
  • office administration such as data entry, filing systems and letter-writing
  • writing, editing and proof reading technical documents

Compensation and details of employment:

  • Annual pay of £25,000
  • Normally based in City of London but home-working during pandemic restrictions
  • 35 hours per week plus additional hours as required to fulfil the duties of the role
  • 25 days holiday a year plus bank holidays (pro-rata)
  • Pension, Life Assurance (3x salary) and Private Health Insurance Cover
