Marketing Executive

Purpose of role

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Marketing Executive to join our small, agile team. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for marketing and digital communication, eager to take on a fast-paced environment where their efforts make a direct impact. As a key player in our marketing team, you will be instrumental in promoting the PMI’s products and services and enhancing our membership engagement. The role works in partnership with both our internal teams, and supports delivery of campaigns on behalf of our corporate clients.

Key Accountabilities

  • Collaborate and work closely with the wider PMI departments to support sales and delivery targets for PMI services and products.
  • Develop and implement creative and impactful marketing strategies that align with PMI's objectives.
  • Lead the execution of email and social media marketing campaigns, from concept to analysis, ensuring high levels of engagement and response rates.
  • To co-ordinate and publish key membership content including the Pension Aspects Magazine, Technical News etc.
  • Work closely with the Business Development team, to design and deliver corporate members campaigns and services.
  • Manage and grow our presence on various social media platforms, including content creation, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Assist with the analysis of marketing data (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic, etc.) to help shape future marketing strategies.
  • Assist in maintaining the PMI website, ensuring content is up-to-date, relevant, and SEO optimised.
  • Contribute to the development of marketing materials and collateral, ensuring brand consistency.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.

The incumbent will be a marketing professional, with a track record in the development and execution of multi-disciplinary marketing and communications operational activities, that are aligned with the strategic objectives of the organisation.

The role holder will be a team-player, with a flexible and ‘can-do’ attitude to make things happen. In addition, the role holder will have strong organisational skills and initiative, with a proven ability to independently drive projects to completion, giving due attention to detail and deadlines.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years’ marketing experience in marketing and digital marketing, preferably in a similar industry or professional body.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to create engaging content.
  • Proficient in the use of digital marketing tools and platforms, including email marketing software and social media management tools.
  • Experience with marketing analytics tools and proficiency in creating detailed reports and presentations.
  • Excellent copywriting and proof-reading skills ensuring flawless, persuasive content with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace, managing multiple projects simultaneously without compromising on quality.
  • Creative thinker with a keen eye for detail and a problem-solving attitude.
  • Team player with the ability to work collaboratively within a small team environment.

Education & Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level, likely to be in Marketing or Communications and/or relevant qualification.
  • Likely to be a member of a relevant professional body.

Compensation and details of employment

  • Hybrid working (UK based only) requiring attendance in the London office/area 2-4 times per month.
  • 35 hours per week plus additional hours as required to fulfil role responsibilities.
  • 25 days holiday a year plus bank holidays (pro-rata)
  • Pension, Life Assurance (3x salary) and Private Health Insurance Cover

Salary

  • £23,000 - £26,000
