Frederika Roberts is an expert in Positive Psychology, Organisational Change, and Workplace Culture Improvement.
Her keynotes and workshops support the wellbeing and optimal functioning of individuals and groups across a wide range of organisational settings — from schools and universities to businesses, charities, and the public sector.
With a professional background spanning recruitment, social media marketing, and teaching, Frederika brings a unique blend of insight, energy, and practical experience to her work. Since 2013, she has delivered impactful talks and training to diverse audiences and now also lectures at postgraduate level. She is currently undertaking doctoral research into Appreciative Inquiry, a strengths-based approach to organisational change and whole-system wellbeing.
Frederika is the author of Recipe for Happiness (2013) and For Flourishing’s Sake (2020), co-author of Character Toolkit for Teachers (2018) and Character Toolkit Strength Cards (2020), and co-editor of The Big Book of Whole School Wellbeing (2022).

Alistair Charity and Corporate advisory lead. He has more than 20 years of experience as an Actuary working for DB and DC pension schemes. In his role, Alistair provides advice for employers and third-sector bodies on all aspects of pension provision.
Before joining Spence, Alistair was a Partner and Head of Corporate Defined Benefit Pensions at Hymans Robertson – a position he held since 2018, having joined the business in 2000. He also led Hymans’ third sector offering and has extensive experience working with clients in the not-for-profit sector. His work focused on funding and de-risking solutions, benefit strategy, and more sector-specific issues like managing participation in multi-employer pension schemes.
In recent years, he has advised corporates on DB consolidation options including transferring to commercial consolidators and DB master trusts. He also worked with corporates on their DB funding approaches in light of the new DB funding regime. Alistair’s strength lies in his profound understanding of the intricacies of the financial industry, coupled with a keen insight into the dynamics of the not-for-profit sector.

Amrit Summan is an experienced pension’s actuary, scenario modelling expert and investments professional. She oversees relationships with multiple global clients, supporting asset managers and pension funds in their ALM and SAA objectives and risk management goals, utilising market leading stochastic ALM technology. Furthermore she leads scenario and risk management thought leadership for her clients. Prior to joining Ortec Finance, Amrit held key roles at Moody’s Analytics leading complex multinational client relationships for scenario generation solutions and as a senior pensions consultant at Willis Towers Watson."

David has been working in pensions and employee benefits for over 30 years. A fellow of the Pensions Management Institute (FPMI), he has experience of different types of schemes and is currently working on both defined benefit and defined contribution pension schemes, as well as advising employers on funding negotiations and pension de-risking options. Having established MHM in 2016, he is an accredited professional trustee, with MHM having both sole trustee and co-trustee appointments.

He is Director of Trusteeship, Administration & DB Supervision. A chartered accountant with over 20 years’ experience spanning pensions regulation, financial analysis, and corporate restructuring. David has led on strategic transformation across defined benefit schemes, trusteeship, and administration and has played a key role in the development of policy and guidance, most recently, the new DB Funding Regs, Code and accompanying covenant guidance. David has played a significant role in TPR’s transformation.

Kerstin is the Director for Private Pensions and Arm’s-Length Bodies at the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). She is responsible for DC and DB workplace pensions as well as DWP oversight of Nest, PPF, TPR, TPO and MaPs. She led DWP’s work on the Pension Investment Review and the Pension Schemes Bill, the Pensions Dashboard and jointly leads the department’s work on the Pensions Commission. Kerstin has over twenty-five years’ experience in public policy, working in the public sector (NHS England, HM Treasury and HMRC) and in PwC.
