The Board acts as the governing entity of the PMI in accordance with the Articles. It sets the strategic direction of the PMI, oversees the implementation of the strategy and operation and management of the PMI and holds the Executive accountable for their activities. The Board also monitors the effectiveness of the governance structure and framework and keeps the Governance Manual including its list of delegations up to date.

Is the PMI a regulatory body?
No. The PMI is a professional institute, not a regulator. We support the industry through education and standards, while regulatory oversight is handled by bodies like The Pensions Regulator (TPR). The PMI, however, is an Awarding Body, regulated by Ofqual.
