Mallowstreet, in partnership with Cardano, are delighted to announce that the results of their Diversity, Equality and Inclusion Survey is now available to download.
The research, which surveyed over 100 pension trustees, showed that on the whole pension trustee boards remain overwhelmingly male, over the age of 45, and with a tertiary education. 75% of respondents sit on boards where over 60% of members are male, while 2 in 5 sit on boards where half the board are 46-60 years old. On top of this, 70% say that four out of every five board members have tertiary education (e.g. university).

About the report:
Improving the inclusion and diversity of pension boards is one of the top three areas for improvement identified by the pensions industry. More diverse organisations perform better as groupthink is challenged and blind spots are eliminated.
It is time for pension trustees to come together and take action.
The mallowstreet Diversity, Equality & Inclusion survey in partnership with Cardano will be an annual report which will identify the issues that act as a barrier to increasing diversity in pensions and help the industry work together for a greater impact and better outcomes.
The results of the survey will be shared across the regulatory and investment sectors, placing diversity, equality and inclusion at the top of the institutional agenda.
