Applying equality, diversity and inclusion considerations to a pension scheme is not without its challenges. To help, earlier this year TPR issued guidance for pension scheme trustees and employers about EDI. This guidance sets out some steps trustees may wish to consider to integrate EDI considerations into scheme practices. Many schemes are already putting into practice TPR’s recommendations, and going further than this to take EDI into account as part of scheme governance processes.
