Student Membership is open to anyone wishing to study towards one of our qualifications. There are two types of Student Membership:
- Full Student Membership
- VQ Student Membership
Becoming a Full Student
If you would like to study the Advanced Diploma in Retirement Provision modules, you must become a Full Student Member. To become a Full Student complete a copy of the Membership Application form and return it to us along with a payment to cover the election fee and the annual subscription.
Becoming a VQ Student
All candidates undertaking a vocational qualification (VQ) will automatically be enrolled as a VQ Student Member on registration for the duration of their study.
When to apply
You can apply to become a PMI student member at any time of the year. Please note however, that the PMI student membership year runs from 1 September to 31 August and we do not offer pro-rata rates.

Renewing your membership
Once you have registered with us as a Student Member, you will continue to be a member provided you make the annual subscription payment. The subscription fee is payable in advance of 1 September each year (we will contact you when the fee is due). If you became a Student as a result of beginning RPC studies and purchasing RPC study material, you will need to renew your subscription on 1 September.
We will remind you about paying your annual subscriptions fee on time but if we do not receive a payment from you, we will allow your membership to lapse. To rejoin following lapsing, you will be required to pay an election fee as well as the subscription fee.
