Learning support

Support

There is no formal study material for this exam, however, we do offer some suggested, further reading and also some sample questions and answers to give a sense of what kind of questions you could expect to answer.

Assessment method

Note

The qualification will be assessed by:

  • Unit 1 - Professional Trusteeship: a multiple-choice exam of 60 questions, lasting 90 minutes, and;
  • Unit 2 - Soft Skills: a multiple-choice exam of 60 questions, lasting 90 minutes.

These two units are 'stand alone' and can be taken independently of each other.

It is noted that 'Soft Skills' will not always give a definitive single correct answer.  It is for this purpose (as you will see in the sample questions), that, in some cases, there may be more than one correct answer, and it is only fair through assessment, that we recognise that. However, please note that only one correct answer needs to be selected to achieve full marks for the particular question, even if there are two correct answers within the question.

Those learners already holding the Award In Pension Trusteeship (APT), or its equivalent, will be exempt from sitting Unit 1, and any of those previously passed qualifications will count towards the final certificate as having completed Unit 1 through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

You will automatically be issued with a Unit Credit Certificate for either or both Units of this qualification.
