The Certificate in Pensions Administration is suitable for pension scheme administrators working on Defined Benefit (DB) or Defined Contribution (DC) pension schemes. The qualification is designed to allow organisations and their pensions administrators to select and construct a competence-based qualification that reflects their normal working activities.

Assessment method

Note

There are 2 different methods of assessment:

  • Work-based assessment where evidence is drawn from the day to day activities carried out by the administrator.
  • Open book case study examinations.

It is possible to complete the qualification via a combination of work-based assessment and examinations or work-based assessments only.

The qualification is delivered via PMI approved Examination Partners.

To complete the qualification 8 units must be completed, out of 14 possible options.

Please note, this fee provides all students with PMI student membership for the duration of the qualification.

 

Annual Examination Partner /Approved Centre fee 

Once approved, an Examination Partner/Approved Centre fee is payable. This commences in the year of the approval

It is broken down as follows:

Application for centre approval £900

Application for Examination Partner approval £700

Multi-Site Examination Partners £700 + £400 per satellite centre

Multi-Site Centre approval £900 + 250 per satellite centre
