Pensions Management Institute appoints Invesco as Alternative Investment Insight Partner

Insight Partner

The Pensions Management Institute (PMI) is pleased to announce it has appointed Invesco as its Alternative Investment Insight Partner to share expertise on alternative investments with the industry.

The PMI will work alongside Invesco to deliver webinars, interviews, panel discussions, research and case studies designed to increase understanding of alternative investments, spanning the range of assets, including Real Estate and Venture Capital.

Alternative Investments are an important topic for the pensions industry, particularly in the face of rising inflation when navigating the markets will be even more challenging. The PMI’s partnership with Invesco will allow PMI members to learn more about the opportunities and challenges in this field.

The partnership will allow PMI members to access Invesco’s insight and experience on Alternative Investments through its multiple distribution channels, including its monthly magazine ‘Pensions Aspects’, email newsletters, PMI TV and its dedicated Insight Partners web area. PMI’s Insight Partnerships are developed exclusively with organisations considered to be thought leaders and experts in the industry, to support innovation on significant issues and add value through the delivery of expert knowledge.

Gareth Tancred, CEO of the Pensions Management Institute, comments: “Alternative investments continue to represent an interesting feature of pension scheme management. With rising inflation, trustees are increasingly looking at a diverse range of investments options to deliver returns for their members. As leading experts in alternative investing, Invesco is an ideal choice to be our Insight Partner on this topic. We look forward to working with Invesco as our partner and to champion thought leadership in the pensions sector.”

Chris Evans, Head of UK Pensions and EMEA Consultant Relations, Invesco comments: “Pension schemes are increasingly recognising the contribution that alternative investments can bring to help them achieve both their income needs and long-term funding goals. However, many trustees are still hesitant about allocating to alternatives due to concerns over a lack of familiarity with the strategies and the fund vehicles used to access them. At Invesco, we’re delighted to have the opportunity to partner with the PMI and share our extensive knowledge and experience of alternative investing so their members can consider alternative investments with greater confidence.”
