PMI renews Insight Partnership with Paragon to help improve saver communications at a critical time

The Pensions Management Institute (PMI) has announced the renewal of its Insight Partnership with Paragon, one of the UK’s leading providers of outsourced services.

The move will help schemes improve how they communicate at a time when member choice is greater than ever and changes in the pension ecosystem – such as Pensions Dashboards – are moving rapidly, yet decisions increasingly sit with individual savers.

The Insight Partnership will see Paragon providing insight and expertise to PMI members, helping them convey essential messages to scheme members through various channels such as web platforms, email campaigns, editorial content, case studies and speaking engagements at both in-person events and online broadcasts.

The renewed collaboration continues a relationship built on shared purpose: helping pension schemes navigate complexity, improve member journeys, and deliver clearer, more effective communications in an evolving regulatory environment.

The partnership highlights the PMI’s focus on industry collaboration, data quality, and practical innovation at a time when schemes face heightened expectations from regulators and members alike.

Varsha Gicas, Chief Customer Officer at the PMI, said:

“Clear, timely and trustworthy communication has never been more important as savers in DC schemes face more complex choices and greater personal responsibility for their retirement outcomes. The industry must step up to support them with information they can genuinely understand and act upon, and this partnership aims to do just that.

“Paragon’s expertise in simplifying complexity and improving member engagement is invaluable, and we are delighted to renew our partnership as we work together to raise standards across the sector.”

Paragon brings more than two decades of experience supporting pension schemes and providers through personalised member communications, automated nudge campaigns, digital mailroom services, regulatory communication planning, and the redesign of content to improve accessibility and clarity.

David Phillips – Chief Operating Officer at Paragon, said:

“We are delighted to continue our partnership with the Pensions Management Institute as its Communications Insight Partner. Over the past year, we’ve seen first-hand how clear, engaging and accessible communications are vital in helping pension schemes build trust and confidence with their members. The PMI plays a pivotal role in raising standards across the industry, and we’re proud to support its members with insight, expertise and practical guidance that helps improve member engagement and outcomes.”
