Diploma in International Employee Benefits

Those working at the margins of pensions who need to understand pensions in the wider savings and employee benefits context.

Note: We would like to inform the learners on route to DIEB qualification that PMI will no longer offer this course after 2026. The final exams for the Diploma's units (Core Unit 1B and Managing International Employee Benefits) are scheduled for 2026, with the last available sitting in November 2026. No further exam sittings or new intakes will be available beyond this date.

Current learners are encouraged to complete any outstanding units and sit their exams in 2026 to achieve the qualification. Please refer to the timetable available under useful resources. Anyone who has completed the exam units or the Diploma , this will still remain valid even after the course has been discontinued .

As of Autumn 2025, all units that come under the DIEB qualification will be assessed via 80 multiple choice questions. Please refer to the DIEB specification under 'useful resources' for further information regarding how the exams will be assessed. 

This qualification comprises two compulsory units:

International 1 (otherwise known as CU1B) and International 2 (otherwise known as MIEB) 

Both units are offered in exam sittings taking place in April and October every year.

Please note: To sit this qualification, you must be at least a Student member of the PMI. 

You do not have to apply for a PMI membership separately as the applicable membership price (if required) will be added to you cart when registering for the exam.

For new students or former students returning to the PMI the student membership fee will be £185 and will be valid until 31st August 2026.

Existing student members will not be charged a membership fee at point of exam enrolment but will be invited to renew their membership in 2026.
