Apprenticeships are normally delivered by recognised training providers who are able to obtain the relevant funding and deliver the constituent parts of an apprenticeship. We are in discussions with several of them to explore the different options to incorporate PMI qualifications within the trailblazer apprenticeship model.
An important benefit of the apprenticeship is that it is possible for employers to access Government funding to assist with the delivery of training and qualifications. The Government also recently announced that a new Apprenticeship Levy would be used to raise funds for apprenticeship training. An overview of the Apprenticeship Levy was provided in a recent PMI News editorial.
PMI facilitated an event for employers interested in finding out more about how to deliver the Workplace Pensions Trailblazer Apprenticeship in November 2016 and simialr events are planned for 2017. When details are finalised they will appear here.
Training providers can assist an employer delivering the workplace pensions trailblazer in a number of ways:
- recruitment of apprentices
- training needs analyses
- training and assessment
- portfolio construction
- administration and funding
PMI is developing a list of training providers who have indicated they can help to deliver the workplace pensions trailblazer. This can be found in the links at the bottom of this page.
