Response from the Pensions Management Institute to HM Treasury consultation: ‘Reducing the money purchase annual allowance’

In its Autumn Statement on 23 November 2016 The UK Government announced a proposal to reduce the money purchase annual allowance (‘MPAA’) from £10,000 to £4,000 with effect from 6 April 2017. This release outlines the response from The Pensions Management Institute (PMI) to the HM Treasury consultation, ‘Reducing the money purchase annual allowance,’ on the potential impact of this reduction.

The Pensions Management Institute (PMI) has today announced that it has been appointed as the end point assessment organisation for the Workplace Pensions Trailblazer Apprenticeship. This means that the PMI will sign off each apprentice as having completed the standard and met the requirements.
