Scottish Group joint meetings - NAPF/PMI/SPC
You may have realised that you've not had notices about the usual 'winter' timetable of joint meetings of the Scottish Groups. The 'union' hasn't folded. Instead, the joint committees have been working on a new approach. You will, hopefully, agree that this will:
- better utilise pressures on your time
- give you a wider programme of subject matters
|
Both are important for all involved in pension provision in these times.
Four meetings a year
The intention is to now spread meetings over the year. Limit to four over each year - avoiding the worst of the weather (climate change permitting). Each meeting will be slightly longer than the previous meetings and will start with breakfast at 8:30am (for 9am), finishing mid-morning. So you will have the same opportunities for networking and to earn the same amount of CPD, have breakfast while networking and still be able to put in a full day at work!
Invited guests
You will also be able to invite guests to the meetings, on a 'first come/first served' basis, although priority will go first to PMI members and those employed by organisations that are members of NAPF or SPC. So that could give you scope to invite contacts who have a particular interest in subject(s) being covered at a meeting.
Dates
The meetings dates for next year are:
Thursday 4 February – Glasgow
Thursday 6 May – Edinburgh
Thursday 9 September – Edinburgh
Thursday 18 November – Glasgow
The NAPF and PMI Scottish Region AGMs will be on 10th June in Glasgow in the evening (venue to be confirmed later), followed by a social event - to which the full "union" will be invited.
Venues
The Glasgow meetings will be held in Hymans Robertson's offices and the Edinburgh meetings will be at Shepherd & Wedderburn's offices.
