Syllabus and structure

The table below sets out the structure and completion criteria for the Advanced Diploma in Retirement Provision from 2016.

The examinations in 2018 will be based on the law as it existed at 6 April 2017. An awareness of any significant changes after 6 April will be to a candidate’s advantage. Therefore, the study manuals will be based on the law as it existed at 6 April 2017 unless stated otherwise.

Further qualifications completion criteria

When completing the Advanced Diploma, candidates may also acheieve Diploma qualifications along the way:

Candidates who pass Core Unit 1A, Core Unit 2, Core Unit 3, Core Unit 4 and either Defined Benefit or Defined Contribution will be awarded the Diploma in Retirement Provison (DRP)

Candidates who pass 'Taxation, Retail Investment and Pensions' and 'Retail Advice and Regulation' will be awarded the Diploma in Regulated Retirement Advice (DRRA)

Candidates who pass Core Unit 1A, Core Unit 2 and Reward and Retirement Provision will be awarded the Diploma in Employee Benefits and Retirement Savings (DEBRS)
